All Round Excellence |
| We had the nicest meal out ever at this establishment. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely sat by an open log fire whilst enjoying a 3 course meal where everything that could be was home-made. The soup was perfectly thick and creamy and excellent presentation on the stilton and mushroom tartlet with home-made onion marmalade. I had the line caught cod which came on a lovely plate hugh portions with home-made chunky chips which were lovely and crispy with a fluffy inside. My partner had the rump steak which was a superb rump steak with minimal fat and lovely home-made chips and hugh home-made onion rings with a lovely field mushroom. The steak was cooked perfectly as was everything else. For dessert I had a lovely cheese board selection which I had a selection of crackers and 3 cheeses; lovely slice of stilton and a wedge of brie and the good old faithful cheddar served with celery and a lovely home-made chutney which was wonderful. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it all but the staff were offering me more crackers so I could finish the cheese which makes absolutely good customer service. My partner had the orange cheese cake which was light and creamy with not the sharp taste of orange but a sweet orange tang, this was accompanied by a lovely pineapple salsa which was gorgeous. This is an exceptional pub well worth several visits I cannot recommend them enough. Excellent value for money you pay for what you get excellent service fresh local produce created into 5* meals. Many thanks for this evening we will be back very soon. Sara & Blake - November 2011 |
A Taste of The Three Horseshoes |
| How wonderful to have a taster menu with a vegetarian version. We all enjoyed it tremendously, meat eaters and veggies alike. Maybe the veggie version could be a little cheaper? but we will come back anyway. Janet Myatt - June 2011 |
Friendly & Laid Back Atmosphere |
| This pub has a lovely, friendly and laid back atmosphere. The staff are helpful and enthusiastic and made us feel very welcome, no 'are you local!?' attitude here. The food ranges from traditional pub grub to more fancy stuff such are seabass or venison. Love it. Will be back soon. Bungle - May 2011 |
Highly Recommended |
| My wife and I are fine food enthusiasts, but like a relaxed friendly environment and we found our perfect match with the Three Horse Shoes pub in North Cove. The food is exceptional and the friendly helpful service from the staff was as good as it gets. If you want a really friendly, typical, great pub atmosphere with great food food then this is the place for you. Highly recommended. Canesav - May 2011 |
Excellent Food |
| I have eaten at the three horseshoes several times. On every occasion I have found the food to be excellent. The prices are a little high for a pub, but the food makes up for it. I love the venison burger. The staff have always been friendly. Kulture Shock, Beccles - May 2011 |

I Would Recommend This To Anyone |
| We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in The Three Horseshoes at North Cove. The food was freshly cooked and inventive - I had chicken with fresh (local) figs, which was delicious, and my husband had a salad which he declared to be "as good as the ones you get in France". The service was friendly and attentive, you got the feeling they really cared whether you enjoyed your food or not. The pub is a lovely old one, it has obviously been subject to 'modernisation' at some point in the past, though. I would recommend this to anyone - it makes a real change from 'pub grub' and is worth a drive into the country for, especially if you are staying somewhere like Southwold. You need to book a table in the summer. Suzanne - September 2010 |
Exceptional Food |
| Don't be fooled, this is a traditional looking pub with a modern twist. The food is exceptional, (a little pricey for a pub)!!!! But the service & atmosphere make for a perfect night out. Carl & Rich we love you. I'll miss you.XXX Guest - July 2010 |

Make Up Your Own Mind |
| Well what can I say. We have recently visited North Cove on holiday (5 adults and 2 children in our party). Before the holiday I read the reviews for the Three Horseshoes in North Cove as it was our nearest pub. Because of the bad reviews we were not going to visit but on one night we felt that we should make up our own minds. What a good job, the food was excellent as well as the service we received. We were made very welcome and would have no hesitation to visit it again or recommend it to fellow holidaymakers. Thank you so much for a lovely evening. Guest - April 2010 |
